Compliance Is Not an Afterthought

Compliance shouldn’t be something childcare leaders think about only when licensing is on the way.

At CBG Live, Ronnae “The State Lady®” Williams presented Compliance Is Not an Afterthought, a session focused on the connection between strong leadership, daily operations, team performance, and long-term compliance.

The session challenged childcare leaders to look beyond simply reacting to licensing requirements and instead consider how compliance is built into the everyday operation of a program—from the expectations leaders set and the systems they create to the way staff are trained, supported, and held accountable.

Because strong programs don’t prepare for compliance only when an inspection is approaching. They build it into how they operate every day.
